A follow-up game to the insanely successful Ice Age Village, Ice Age Adventures has you and the gang from the hit movie moving to greener pastures in this title that combines match three puzzles, endless running and city building into one entertaining game. The building part serves as the core for Ice Age Adventures. You play as Sid and have to travel to different islands in order to rescue herds of animals. Once rescued, you have to bring them back to your home. Then you will have to feed them, build them shelter and a whole list of various other tasks.
To free the animals, you will have to complete different challenges set around different mini games. The different mini games add variety and keep the game from becoming too monotonous. If you are the kind of gamer that simply cannot move on from a level until it is 100% finished, you will have to not only save the animals, but also collect all of the bonuses and items located on the islands.
As you progress, you can unlock other heroes from the movie that will follow you around and help clear obstacles that you couldn’t clear as Sid. Ice Age Adventures also features social integration through either Facebook or Game Center, where you can follow the progress of your friends as they play, compare scores, and send and receive gifts. Just as with most games today, Ice Age Adventures features in-app purchase. The game uses four different types of money that can be won or bought with real money. Overall, Ice Age Adventures is a fun game that you can easily get wrapped up in and is worth a play, or two.
